The Nativity was never like this, says Dawn Right Nasty

They say that nothing is sacred and, like a drunk at a Carol Service, New York drag cabaret sensations Kiki and Herb return to blight the festive season with Jesus Wept - a Christmas concert for the dysfunctional and disillusioned.

Their largest UK shows to date, Kiki (Justin Bond) and Herb (Kenny Mellman) will resurrect their Obie award winning 2000 show for this must-see performance.

Life has not been kind to our alcoholic heroes. Diagnosed as retarded and packed off to a children's home at a tender age, their show business talents have since carried them from back street titty bars to cruise liner cabarets the world over.

Through a whiskey sodden haze, Kiki regales the audience with tales of the friends (and children) they've loved and lost along the way.

Throw into the pot a host of questionable covers from artists as diverse as Kate Bush, Nirvana and the Singing Nun, and you have the perfect antidote to seasonal schmaltz.

"If people are heading for the exit, we know we've done our job", says Justin Bond.

Jesus wept? No wonder! These two would try the patience of a saint.
